WW2 Iron Cross First Class Fire damaged from Wrecked Aircraft 

The iron cross has signs of being in a fire. The solder has melted away from the joints so some of the corners have lifted. The iron center still has all its detail. The pin on the reverse is intact and moves. Some black residue exists on the reverse possibly from clothing...This cross would make a good project to restore.

The previous owner of this Iron Cross told me that it was found in Battersea at the Wreckage site of a burnt German bomber by his grandfather who was in the RAF stationed at Duxford.
